One of the points I take as a first principal about worship is that it reflects back to God who He is. At least, it reflects back to Him who we see Him to be. Thus the magnified joy of worship as part of the assy of the saints, in unity and love, reflects back something of the “Three-yet-One” mystery of the triune nature of God.
Given that this is true, and that in the person and work of Jesus we most clearly perceive God (“He who has seen me has seen the Father” etc.), you are exactly right that any worship that does directly reflect “Christ and Him crucified” who is the Head of all things, that does not look to the cross and the empty tomb is not worship that is “in truth,” but a denial.
