These are really good thoughts. If we would indulge ourselves in what John Piper calls Christian “hedonism” of prayer and Bible study, perhaps we would be less inclined to engage in carnal hedonism.
Amen! I am convinced Adam would have never eaten of the fruit of the tree he was barred from, if he had been obeying the earlier command to “eat freely” of the trees he could!
