1 Cor. 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I originally wrote this for our wedding. But having gone back to read it last
evening, I thought you all might like to see it as well. It is just a reminder of the
glories yet to be ours when we are at last united with King Jesus in the
consummation of the ages.
Oh what a glorious day ’twill be
When Christ shall wed His Bride
There robed in His own righteousness
She tends His riven side
Arrayed in Heaven’s finery
Unstained by guilt or shame
Her glistening gown washed white as snow
Forever to remain
His blood has cleansed from every spot
He’s bought her as His own
Full paid sin’s debt with God’s own blood
To give her Heav’n as home
Oh hear the angels sing for joy
And see them bending low
To worship Christ the risen King
To see such grace bestowed
See here, the token of His love
Transcendently displayed
All mercy’s gifts and miracles
Upon her sweetly laid
And they shall never parted be
She’s bound by love’s strong cords
For e’re she’ll rule and reign with Him
By all His grace affords
‘Tis more than human tongue can tell
Or minds could dare to dream
That He, this band of blood bought men
He weds, His Church, Redeemed
