1 Cor. 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I originally wrote this for our wedding. But having gone back to read it last
evening, I thought you all might like to see it as well. It is just a reminder of the
glories yet to be ours when we are at last united with King Jesus in the
consummation of the ages.

I’m going to be away the rest of the week – so I offer up to you a protracted but extraordinary piece of sound divinity from the pen of that grand 18th century Scottish Presbyterian – Thomas Chalmers. Meet Andrea. A beautiful, vibrant, pleasant 21 year old – full of promise.

I preached her funeral yesterday.

This last Friday morning (June 23rd), in the wee hours, she had a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer and was instantly killed. Andrea was struggling in life. And her tragic death placed within the context of those struggles leaves us with many unanswered questions. How are we deal with those Biblically? Let me talk to you about how I am.
